Chesed

kindness-saidaonline.jpgChesed (חסד) is the Hebrew word for "Kindness." It is one of the primary classes of Mitzvah  and is considered a Mitzvah unto itself as well.

PTSA shows loving-kindness to families who are dealing with life cycle events in their life.

  • We comfort families for their loss of an immediate family member
  • We celebrate with families as they welcome a new baby
  • We support families dealing with a serious illness in their family

Our chesed is expressed in a variety of ways...

  • We provide family size lasagna meals including lasagna, salad, bread, dessert and drinks
  • We provide assistance in coordinating carpool options for families transitioning through a life cycle event

Do you know of a family experiencing a life cycle event?  Make sure to let our PTSA Chesed Coordinators know so we can appropriately acknowledge the event and lend our support.
